Our team delivers the Windows Live experience to Mobile devices and will deliver the Microsoft location cloud services that will enable a broad range of Microsoft and 3rd party location based services. As a highly valued senior developer, you will: * Solve complex distributed data computing problems and architect solutions to scale. * Build massively scalable and high performance data solutions with a distinguished level of quality. * Prototype and incubate solutions. * Have great opportunities to be visible and work directly with our partners. * Collaborate with other product teams to design and implement new features and services from inception and design through development, deployment and beyond. * Provide technical leadership and drive significant aspects of development for multiple feature teams. * Drive a culture of continuous improvement, adaptation, reflection, and growth. Successful candidates will have: * Excellent database and data modeling skills on large-scale systems supporting thousands of requests per second. * Experience designing and implementing scalable distributed databases and large-scale server applications. * Hands on experience applying SCRUM and Test Driven Development required. * Solid experience designing and implementing applications written using SQL Server, OLAP, C#, .Net, data caching, and Webstore. * Excellent and pragmatic independent judgment, strong communication skills, and the ability to approach problems from the customer's perspective. * Strong cross group collaboration skills. * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience is required; 8+ years of software development experience required including multiple full ship cycles. * Experience with geographic information services (GIS), GPS technology, spatial data representations is a huge plus.
