McGraw-Hill Education addresses virtually  every aspect of the education market from pre-K through professional learning. Our technical innovations are changing the way people learn, with e-books, online tutoring, customized course Web sites and subscription services.  Now is the time to team up with our dynamic company as we create our next generation of who we need to be for our customers!    Do you have a very analytical thought process?  Do you have a keen eye for detail?  This could be the job for you!!  We have an exciting opportunity for a BUSINESS ANALYST in our Technology department.   MUST provide systematic business analysis support for the department expense budget - financial planning, analysis, business modeling.   Here's what you will get to do: Provide on-going assistance to help develop department budget - gross spending, headcount, estimates to completes, liquidations, capital, initiatives for each cost center.    Analyze past trends and future plans. Develop business models supporting Technology's budget in collaboration with Finance. Align Technology budget with each cost center's headcount plans. Monitor department's financial performance. Review/analyze ETC scorecards, developing strategies and processes for improvement. Lead portfolio management of Technology's investments. Ensure all investments receive necessary reviews. Liaison with Finance in the reporting requirements. Partner with department directors in creating best practices to track financial health of project, cost, etc. Here is what YOU will need to be successful: Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance OR equivalent experience. 5+ years experience in financial planning/analysis for organization with multiple cost centers, annual budget of $15M+, 3 year spending plan of $50M+. Management of diverse portfolio with investments of $10M+. Successfully collaborate with various departments. Exceptional translation of complex accounting rules communicated to and used by technology managers. High proficiency with Excel. Effective time management and organizational skills an absolute! Access and Visio experience is a plus!
