The Account Manager has responsibility for maintaining the relationships between Target Software's (TSI) non-profit clients and TSI. This includes regular and ad hoc client status calls; researching and reporting on open support requests; facilitating additional requested services; and working toward overall client satisfaction with TSI. In addition, this position will participate in ongoing project management and consulting activities with new and existing clients, including managing communications with clients; developing project timelines; coordinating efforts of multi-person project teams; performing business analysis to define and translate fundraising practices to provide best practice recommendations; and advising clients on how to manage their businesses in Team Approach (TSI's software product). Within the department, the Account Manager will assist in the continuing development of department materials and processes as well as the integration of TAG and TSI service and product offerings. Job Duties Serve as the primary liaison between TSI and one or more clients. Works autonomously on client accounts and can make key client decisions without council or supervision from senior level management Responsible for the management of key accounts and for ensuring the delivery of Target Software products and services Participate in the identification, development and training of best practices to ensure Target Software's leadership in the industry Proactively identify areas for improving processes and client service Identify up-sell/cross-sell business opportunities and work with internal TSI team to develop proposals Create database queries using the Team Approach query tool and/or SQL. Tune the queries for optimum runtime. Create calculated fields as needed. Manage complex segmentation projects, using our in house query and outputs tools and other tools such as TopDog Manage production and distribution of Team Approach reports for clients Participate in production of multi-dimensional data analysis reports using OLAP tools. Provide visual representations of this data (graphs, charts), and appropriate levels of detail, as assigned Work with the Finance and Administration division to facilitate invoicing and resolve any billing questions as assigned Work with Application Services Department to recognize opportunities for improvement in department work ALTHOUGH THIS POSITION REQUIRES INTERACTION WITH CLIENTS IT IS NOT A SALES POSITION Required Experience: Three to five years of experience in fundraising, extensive use of fundraising software strongly preferred Three to five years of client service experience managing multi-service relationships Excellent analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills Ability to learn quickly and self-teach through documentation and on-line resources Excellent written and oral communication skills Able to work well independently and within a group Able to handle multiple priorities and show flexibility when priorities change quickly Knowledge of public broadcasting preferred Three to five years experience with database architecture, Oracle, and/or SQL are pluses College degree or equivalent experience required Target Software, a Blackbaud Company* located in Cambridge, MA, offers more than an exceptional software product.
