Click Here to Apply Online Database Engineer This is a contract database engineering position. The responsibilities of this position will emphasize SQL Server design and development work. Responsibilities: -Work in a team of software and database engineers responsible for delivery of database/web based applications. -Develop conceptual data models and relational data structures -Assist in migration and integration of data and processes from legacy systems to new applications and new technologies. -Work closely with other teams of application developers, testers, system administrators and program management. -Create required technical documentation -Follow defined software development lifecycle best practices Qualifications: -Bachelors’ degree in Computer Science or Information Systems, or equivalent relevant work experience -5+ years experience developing databases in a Microsoft SQL Server environment -Programming experience with emphasis on designing complex t-sql and .Net procedures that scale well and are optimized for use in a high volume environment. -Experience in the physical and logical design of database architecture -Ability to implement moderately complex DBA tasks including data migrations, ETL operations, replication, troubleshooting, and performance optimization. -Experience working with Analysis Services, SSIS, Reporting Services, XML and XSLT a must -Experience with PHP, C#, mySQL, and GIS a plus -Proven success working in collaborative cross-disciplinary team environments -Proven success working in a creative, fast-paced, results-oriented environments -Excellent verbal and written communication skills -Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills -Sound analytical, problem resolution, judgment and decision-making skills -Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
