John Deere Credit has also recently entered the renewable energy arena with a business unit that focuses on community-based wind projects.

John Deere Credit in Johnston, IA is looking for a Insurance Specialist to serve as advanced crop insurance expert. Deliver optimum technical support, training and service to John Deere Risk Protection (JDRP) channel partners on a regional basis.


Major Duties:





Primary point of contact and subject matter expert for all aspects of the crop insurance business cycle within assigned territory of agents.
Manage agency data in a timely and accurate manner for assigned territory to ensure maximum A & O reimbursement for the company.
Ensure assigned territory of agents comply with policy provisions, JDRP business practices and procedures.
Ensure strict adherence to guidelines for all processes . Lead teams to update processes and procedures as needed.
Serve as subject matter expert regarding IT project prioritization. Write IT project development request requirements for new and existing products and services and participate on project teams.
Provide system deployment, training and technical system support to assigned territory. Provides secure system access, installation support and diagnosis/repair of system problems.
Develop and execute crop insurance training programs. Serve as the subject matter expert by answering policy questions that require procedural interpretation.
Assist management or Insurance specialists in evaluating and responding to coverage disputes, late data and requests to change initial data received via the internal Administrative Review process.
Monitor agent performance and conduct Quality Assurance reviews. May participate on Regional Quality Service team.








Qualifications





Working knowledge of wide variety of crops and multiple peril plans of insurance required.
Knowledge of numerous and unique types of insurances available in the marketplace such as property, casualty, crop, etc.
Knowledge of the basics of insurance statutes and regulations within area of responsibility.
Knowledge of risk management within areas of specialization and responsibility.
Knowledge of insurance forms and billing practices.
Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office plus intranet and internet functions.
Ability to use various department specific computer programs.

Education
Degree in a Business/Management or Agricultural Sciences discipline or equivalent experience.
