Senior/Lead Systems Engineer Torrance, CA 90501 or Irvine, CA 92618 or Phoenix, AZ 85018, Columbia, MD 21046, or Belcamp, MD 2101 Leading cryptography technology company seeks a highly skilled systems engineer in the development of Type 1 encryption. This position is a key technical role for the development and application of highly advanced methods, theories and research techniques in the investigation and solution of advanced system requirements and problems. Responsibilities: Systems engineering expertise is required to help with design plans, and technical direction of advanced projects or crucial phases of key projects, coordinating the efforts of technical support staff in the performance of fundamental and strategic assignments. Responsibilities will also include conducting investigations and tests of considerable complexity; appraising literature data, exploring patents and current practices relevant to the solution formulas and tactics for specified missions; as well as, evaluating completion strategies and implementation of system additions and/or enhancements, and recommendations to management. The person hired for this key position will also evaluates vendor competence and qualifications for providing required products or services. This position is responsible for observing and complying with all CMMI/SE and ISO 9001 Compliance guidelines and standards. Key skill factors: C, C++, embedded firmware. Qualifications: Experience: A minimum of 5-6 years systems design experience, including hardware/software integration experience or equivalent. Skills: Knowledge of engineering development methodologies. Proficiency in embedded development using C and assembly languages. Process and detailed-oriented, team player, self-starter. Good organizational, decision making and communication skills Must be a U. S. Citizen without dual citizenship in another country; and, MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE SECRET CLEARANCE AT START or have held an active secret clearance within the last 24 months. Education: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, a related field or equivalent experience. Preferred: Master of Science Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or other related discipline.
