The Windows Embedded CE (WCE) team releases technology that can address some 1.4 billon devices that are scheduled to ship in 2009. We work directly with partners to ship Navigation devices, Set-Top boxes and many other connected consumer devices. We also release a tool kit that allows OEMs to build any device that they could image, and they do -- everything from a sausage maker in Germany to an industrial controller in the US to make golf clubs. The Windows CE Joint Development team is looking for an experienced, passionate developer to work with our customers on providing solutions to OS issues and bring devices to market. This position is not a developer of specific technology; instead, you will have the opportunity to touch all the components shipped by Windows CE and to work on all kinds of cool devices like GPS, Portable Media Player, Industrial Automation, Phone, and Gaming devices. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Excellent analytical, development and debugging skills Excellent C/C++ programming skills Proven cross group collaboration skills Excellent communication skills Must be a strong team player with a constructive perspective and committed to the success of the group Basic understanding of hardware design and high level architecture A least 3 years of experience in designing, developing and shipping software products or embedded devices / platforms MUST HAVE SOME OF THE FOLLOWING: Expertise in networking and communication standards & services like TCP/IP, NDIS, Winsock, VoIP, BlueTooth, IEEE802.1x, is a big plus   Experience in Multimedia, File systems, embedded system design and integration, and with Windows CE are highly valued
