Commodities Market Research Expert – Harrisburg, PA
Initiate, design, manage, direct, and analyze market research to provide actionable information and recommendations to the management of the Commodities Group. Market research of particular importance is electricity & energy as well as cocoa, dairy, sweetener and other relevant commodities. Partner with Commodity Managers to develop risk mitigation strategies.

Education:
Bachelor's Degree required in Business/Finance, Statistics/Mathematics, Engineering or closely related field. Master's Degree preferred.

Experience:
Minimum of 8-10 years of commodity market research experience or equivalent market research experience.

Desired Characteristics:
- A Company expert on price modeling, supply & demand forecasting, cost of production evaluation and other advanced analytical and research techniques.
- Able to execute research techniques typically conducted by our higher end research consultants
- Recognized by all as an expert in the viable application of technology, modeling, multivariate techniques, and advanced statistical methods.
- Recognized by clients as a "trusted advisor", i.e., one who listens well, speaks his/her mind in a constructive objective manner, has earned their personal trust, gets on board with decisions once they are made, and demonstrates empathy for client issues.
- Strong research experience utilizing advanced modeling techniques, multivariate techniques, and advanced statistical methods
- Knowledge of commodity futures and options or equivalent derivatives is a plus
- Knowledge of commodity market data sources is a plus
- Experience working with crop survey data is a plus
