We are looking for a highly motivated and entrepreneurial individual to help grow the Xbox LIVE business into a significant profit driver of the overall Xbox 360 business. Xbox LIVE is critical to our plans of establishing Xbox 360 as the #1 console, and you will play an integral role in making that a reality. Responsibilities: Your key areas of focus will be 1. Business Strategy: Despite our success thus far, Xbox LIVE is still a nascent business with most of the upside ahead of us. We have the opportunity to extend our lead in this space while becoming a cornerstone of the Xbox business. You will help create, evolve, and implement the strategy that we need to follow to achieve our lofty business goals. 2. New Initiatives: As part of the strategy implementation, we need to aggressively find new and compelling categories that align with our goals. You will need to develop business and execution plans for these new initiatives, and help establish internal/external partnerships to pursue those opportunities successfully. 3. Business Intelligence. Smart strategy and initiative design require data driven insight. You will help drive quantitative and qualitative analysis of LIVE customer behavior in support of both our existing subscription, transaction and advertising businesses as well as new LIVE initiatives. Qualifications: To succeed, you will need highly developed analytical skills, ability to solve unstructured business problems and experience in defining technical and business requirements In addition, strong leadership skills to transform ideas and new initiatives into successful execution plans are a requirement. Experience with start-up or incubation type businesses is a plus. You should be self-sufficient, able to operate with minimal supervision, and capable of driving a complex project across multiple groups. You will need solid relationship and communication skills in working with senior executives. The ideal candidate will have an MBA or equivalent plus a minimum of 4-6 years work experience in business development, strategy or a related field- background in a strategy consulting firm would be a plus. Passion for gaming and prior experience in the gaming or entertainment industry would be a huge asset
