Mobile Communications Marketing Group (MCMG) is looking for a technically savvy Product Manager to join the Business Experience Product Management Team. As a Technical Product Manager for Windows Mobile Business solutions, you need to have a deep understanding of Microsoft Infrastructure Products, Security and key Platform Technologies and be able to articulate their benefits to Business Decision Makers and IT Professionals. Your core Technical Product Management responsibilities include: 1. Develop compelling messaging and positioning of our Windows Mobile business solutions, particularly around how Microsoft Infrastructure products (Windows Server, Exchange Server, System Center, Forefront Server etc) complement Windows Mobile in Unified Communications and Mobile Line-of-Business solutions. 2. Create Technical Readiness materials and whitepapers to address customer needs, and differentiate Microsoft solutions from competitive offerings 3. Develop a broad-based Technical marketing plan that includes defining the overall strategy, and driving key components of the technical marketing programs such Solution Technology Adoption Programs (TAP), Rapid Deployment Program (RDP), Early Access Programs (EAP) etc across different teams 4. Understand and analyze competitive offerings, and position Windows Mobile Business solutions against these offerings 5. Be the Technical evangelist and spokesperson for Windows Mobile business solutions and be an articulate presenter to senior executives, Press & Analysts, customers and partners 6. Deliver on-going revenue and marketing budget analyses to support the marketing plan. Is accountable for forecast revenue and marketing spend by coordinating across groups 7. Create an effective feedback mechanism to product planning to ensure future products address customer needs We are looking for candidates with the following technical product management competencies: 1. Business and Strategy Leadership 2. Technology Advocacy 3. Positioning, Branding & Messaging 4. Strategic Insight 5. Market Analysis & Opportunity Identification 6. Optimizing Return of Investment The ideal candidate should be a strong team player, who is able to work closely with other MCMG teams, other business groups (in particular Windows Server, Unified Communications, Exchange, Information Worker, Dynamics and SharePoint), device makers, mobile operators, ISVs and System Integrators. The role requires exceptionally strong communication and writing skills. The ideal candidate should be a self-starter who can manage multiple projects simultaneously and drive them to completion on time and with high quality results. The required qualifications include strong technical product management experience (subsidiary or field experience would be a plus but is not required), ability to collaborate effectively with multiple groups at all levels, lead v-teams, drive results across multiple groups, and work with partners and other external entities. The ideal candidate should have at least 7+ years of experience in technical marketing, preferably with previous experience at Microsoft or with a major player in the mobility market, and a proven ability to drive for results. Bachelor's degree required, an MBA degree is strongly preferred, and knowledge of the business mobility business and international markets would be considerable assets.
