Click Here to Apply Online Our client is a leader in developing and manufacturing market-specific printers for transaction-based industries. These industries include gaming, lottery, point-of-sale, kiosk and banking. Each individual market has distinct, critical requirements for printing and the transaction is not complete until the receipt and/or ticket is produced. They distribute their products through OEMs, value-added resellers, selected distributors, and direct to end-users. They have over two million printers installed around the world and they also ha ve a strong focus on the after-market side of the business, with a high commitment to printer service, supplies and spare parts. The position is located in their Hamden, CT office with a compensation range of $45 ,000 - $50,000 plus a 4% bonus opportunity and a great benefits package . JOB SUMMARY: Reporting to the IT Manager, this position is accountable for providing systems support to internal departments and users within the company. The right candidate for this position will be experienced in supporting end users in a fast paced multitasking environment. We are looking for someone who has experience with Microsoft desktop products and has exposure to server environments and is motivated to expand their knowledge. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Providing timely responses to end-user questions and systems support requests. Providing end-user support by supporting common desktop applications and hardware, including, but not limited to, Windows XP/Vista, Office 2002-03/2007, Norton Antivirus, Cisco VOIP Call Manager/Unity, Cisco phones and network equipment. Maintain replacement schedule of PCs, Laptops and other equipment. Acquiring, configuring, and rolling out new laptops, desktop PCs, Blackberry devices, telephones and other user hardware and software. Perform system administration and backup duties for network servers and desktop PCs. Monitor system backups and resolve related problems. Assist Senior Systems Engineer in administering Cisco VOIP systems including Call Manager 4.0 and Unified Messaging systems. QUALIFICATIONS: An Associate’s degree in Information Technology and at least one to two years related experience with a Bachelors Degree strongly preferred. Requires experience with Microsoft network and desktop operating systems and Microsoft desktop applications. Must possess sound knowledge of LANs, WANs, Cisco networking devices, hardware and software installation and Laptop/PC architecture and configuration. Microsoft Certified Professional or Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer is preferred. Cisco certification is a plus.
