DailyCandy, the popular style and trends web site, is seeking an experienced Java web applications developer. The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, able to work with little supervision, and capable of working closely with non-technical colleagues. Our technology team runs a number of systems, from mobile applications to MapReduce logfile processing, all built on open-source components. We provide a fun, relaxed environment, an ideal place for developers to hone their skills and learn some new ones.
The role you could play with us:

Designs and develops content management tools, e-mail delivery systems, and new features and products for our web site.
Conducts or participates in the research, design and development of systems software, software applications and/or tools for new programs and subprograms
Enhancements, modifications and corrections to existing software
Codes, tests, integrate and documents software solutions.

What we would like you to have:

3+ years of Java web experience
Bachelor’s Degree
UNIX (basic sys-admin experience a plus)
Hibernate, Spring Framework, Wicket
Tomcat, Apache, MySQL
 HTML, JavaScript, CSS, jQuery
Python, Ruby experience a plus
