Click Here to Apply Online The McGraw-Hill Companies is one of the world's leading providers of information services and publishers of educational, business and professional information The McGraw-Hill Companies Information Management Risk Management office is responsible for matters relating to information security throughout the McGraw-Hill organization and is part of The McGraw-Hill Companies Corporate Information Management organization. Information Risk Management Group is focused on security governance and enterprise-wide risk management practices. It develops policies and guidelines in conjunction with the business units, which reduces the risk of loss, modification, or disclosure of proprietary information to a level that is acceptable to The McGraw-Hill Companies' management. It monitors progress, develops awareness programs, performs training and represents the company in information security matters globally. 1. This position is located in Hightstown, New Jersey but may require travel to New York City. The candidate selected for this position will work on initiatives related to developing a Risk Issues Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) of vulnerabilities and threats to The McGraw-Hill Companies. The candidate will work with the IM Risk Management Group to create a RDBMS using Microsoft Access, SQL or Oracle. 2. The candidate will also work with the IM Risk Management Group to review and edit Security Standards documentation. 3. Finally working with the IM Risk Management and Corporate Communications Group the intern will help in the development of general Security Awareness training program for The McGraw-Hill Companies employees. The candidate will have a firm knowledge of database design process; including requirements gathering, design, analysis and testing. A? Skills should include a working knowledge of Microsoft Access, SQL or Oracle database design and implementation. A? The ideal candidate will have foundation knowledge of JAVA or .Net programming. A? The candidate will be able to use standard Microsoft Office tools such as Word and Excel. A? The candidate selected for this internship will have good communication skills with a demonstrated ability for critical thinking and independent work.
