MHHE has an exciting opportunity for Seasonal Sales Support in our Humanities, Social Science and World Languages (HSSL) Division . We are seeking enthusiastic and energetic individuals who are eager to start or continue a rewarding career in education publishing. Our Seasonal Sales Support are responsible for growing business and maximizing sales of content solutions (digital assets, custom solutions, and text books) to colleges, universities, and community colleges throughout assigned territory. Responsibilities: Prioritize calling Sets objectives for each call Decides on strategic follow-up Modifies plan when appropriate Makes efficient use of time Keep accurate record of phone dials, professor contacts, comps sent, emails and adoptions Promote backlist and other division products Uses sales support materials as follow-ups: fact sheets, brochures, promotional pieces Maintain efficient office systems, including MESA. Report important information to full-time rep when necessary: bindery shipments, unhappy customer, possible new author, alert to large adoption potential Assist with the planning and designing of market pieces which promote a textbook or group of textbooks in a given course or discipline Export professor names from opportunities within MESA to Excel to use for mailing labels Aids professors in registration process for PageOut Consistently recommend reviewers Scout for new manuscripts Track and follows up on editorial activity A?Bachelor's degree required A?Sales experience helpful A?Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, must be technology savvy A?Strong communication skills A?Must be enthusiastic, highly motivated and well organized A?Able to work seasonal hours : o 30 hours/week - Can choose between a 4 or 5 day work week. o Months of the assignment vary. o Flexibility is important. o There is a definite 8 to 12 week break during the summer and a short break in the winter (November or December).
