The Associate Marketing Manager will support field sales planning sales and marketing integration and communications development in support of the anticipated pre-launch and launch activities for rolofylline (MK-7418).
Additionally the incumbent will support the implementation of brand strategy and field tactics and will play a key role on the marketing team with respect to field sales related issues and integration including:
Consultation development and execution of all field communications including national teleconference content national meetings/workshop content and design field sales bulletins
Consultation development and execution of tactical plans and related resources
Meeting planning and management including partnering with Field Training and Merck Meeting Services Sales Operations
Partnership with the CSS hospital team including Solutions Consultants
Integrating field input into the marketing teams plans for promotional resources and tactics
Managing MP&C budgets and communications across key constituents that relate to US field operations
This Associate Marketing Manager will work closely with the Global Brand Leader (GBL) and Marketing Managers to develop promotional strategy & execute the strategy across various channels. Successful candidate will drive innovation in seeking the best ways to accomplish the promotion strategy and field implementation. Incumbent will effectively share best practices across Global Human Health as appropriate.
Educational Requirements:BS/BA degree requiredRequired:
Minimum 3 years combined experience in pharmaceutical sales marketing or sales/marketing support
In-depth knowledge of field sales strategies and tactics
Desired:
Sales/Marketing support (headquarters) experience desired
Superior project management skills
Effective communications skills (oral and written)
Strong collaboration
Works effectively in ambiguous situations
Strong decision making capability
Proven ability to drive execution
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
Demonstrated and sustained history of achieving and exceeding business goals
