We are currently recruiting for outstanding internship opportunities that will be based at our facility in Monterey, CA. An internship at CTB means working on meaningful projects in your field of interest. Opportunities are available in various disciplines, including Research, Operations, Project Management, Technology, Human Resources, Programs, Product Development, Sales, Finance, and Marketing. We have an excellent opportunity in our Technology department working with our Online Assessment Team at our Monterey, CA facility. SUMMARY OF PROJECT(S): The "Document Traceability" project will provide a process and tools by which all parties will approve and track documents electronically for OAS projects to be leveraged by other projects. It will likely include a review of Sharepoint functionality, and other tools that are currently available. The first phase of the Project (2 weeks) is for the inception and elaboration phase where the functional requirements are gathered and the appropriate available tools that will accommodate electronic approvals and tracking will be selected. The second phase (4 weeks) is for developing the appropriate tools, process documentation, and training for the entire team as to how to utilize the tools for electronic approvals. The third and last phase (1 week) is for the transition phase, which includes review and demonstration of the tool and knowledge transfer to the Business Analysts and Project Managers for ongoing maintenance. MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES: Analyzing different options Developing the POC Implementing the tool and consolidating all the requirements by components Providing proper documentation for ongoing maintenance and support OBJECTIVES: The main objectives of this project are to provide a tool for documenting and managing the online assessment platform project related documents. Minimum 1 year of experience with Software Development Life Cycle Minimum 1 year of experience with requirements and analysis process is desired Experience with creating traceability documents and approvals Experience with online sharepoint is desired media ADDITIONAL SKILLS (Computer/Technical, Languages, etc.): Excellent organizational and analytical skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities Ability to internalize quickly and retain and apply knowledge Strong attention to detail Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office products DURATION: June 15, 2009 through July 31, 2009 (seven weeks). LOCATION: Internship project will be at CTB's office in Monterey, California. COMPENSATION: Hourly wage, housing, transportation and meal plan. WHO SHOULD APPLY: Must be Junior status or above and currently enrolled in an accredited college or university program.
