Fairfield County, CT based brokerage services firm is seeking a top-notch GUI senior software engineer to play an integral role in the development of their Java based Workstation platform. This position is heavily oriented toward designing, building and optimizing front end applications. Success in this position will require proficiency in developing user layer components, solid Java experience, and the ability to embrace the challenge of developing complex realtime systems.

Minimum requirements:

* Fluency in Core Java
* Experience with Java GUI toolkits (Swing, AWT or similar)
* 4+ years of software development experience with emphasis on Java
* BS in Computer Science, or equivalent (advanced degree is a plus)
* Passion for building top-quality user-interface products
* Excellent communicator

Desired:

* Familia rity with market data concepts and trading technologies and technical experience with systems used in the capital & financial markets all a big plus.
