The McGraw-Hill Companies is one of the world's leading providers of information services and publishers of educational, business and professional information ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES :   Provide L2/L3 support for the RemedyOne Platform Develop technical design and implementation plan for enhancements Build Remedy objects to fulfill requirements Responsible for maintaining 4 Remedy application environments Apply patches and migrate code for Dev/QA/Prod/DR envts Maintain technical and functional documentation of the platform Interface with service delivery process owners to understand tool requirements   OTHER REQUIRED ACCOUNTABILITIES:         Developing and enhancing Remedy ITSM workflows Upgrading and maintaining Remedy applications Preparing system documentation on revised application along with knowledge sharing Diagnosing and repairing problems with the Remedy ITSM applications Providing high level support to end users   DIMENSIONS:             To assure 99% availability of the RemedyOne platform Development effort for 5-6 enhancements/month KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:               .   A?         5+ years as a Remedy Administrator/Developer A?         Strong knowledge about ITSM 6.x suite A?         Programming experience with ARS 7.x & related applications .e.g. Java A?         Experience working with Oracle databases A?         Experience with extending Atrium CMDB 2.0. A?         Experience in analyzing multiple databases (asset/inventory) the creating appropriate reconciliation rules using BMC Reconciliation Engine. A?         Experience managing AR System development lifecycle within multiple (Dev, test, QA) environments. (Development, Code Review, code promotion) A?         Integration experience for Remedy ARS with external .ASP application systems A?         Excellent customer service skills and strong interpersonal skills A?         Excellent verbal and written communications skills A?         Experience with HP Discovery tool and AlarmPoint is desirable.   This position requires in depth understanding of the architecture in order to monitor and tune appropriate systems to ensure optimum level of performance. In addition position requires collecting and reviewing system data for capacity and planning purposes and coordination with appropriate management personnel in implementing changes.
