The Dermatology Specialty Sales Representative has overall responsibility for the development and management of the business relationship with targeted therapeutic specialists and customers. The Dermatology Specialty Sales Representative will use a high-science selling and consultative approach and will integrate his/her activities with office-based and hospital representatives and other Merck personnel in the assigned geography. The incumbent is responsible for maximizing the development and productivity of local advocates for assigned products and will play a key role in the implementation of selected process/practice management tools to improve the adoption of Merck products.



This territory covers several affluently populous and industrial areas in the Western US and encompass 6 states. Key Business hubs that make up this territory are: Seattle and Bellevue in WA Portland OR Denver Aurora Boulder & Colorado Springs in CO and Salt Lake City in UT.BA/BS required. Science or Business disipline preferred. Masters Preferred. Minimum of two years successful pharmaceutical sales experience preferred. Dermatology experience preferred. Ability to accurately convey scientific information and communicate effectively preferred.



This position requires 2-3 overnights per week travel for this position is 60%-70%. Residing within the metropolitan city limits of either Seattle WA or Portland OR is required.
