The Customer Team Manager (CTM) plays a critical role in establishing Mercks customer focused initiative. The incumbent is responsible for leading and managing Customer Representatives in identifying customer needs. The Customer Team Manager is responsible for coaching representatives overseeing training and completing people management processes for Customer Representatives and effectively developing and resourcing his/her customer team to address customer needs. The territory covers Johnson City Bristol Kingsport Maryville and Morristown TN. This position will require one to two overnights per month.BA/BS Degree required. MBA preferred. Minimum 5 years of selling experience for technical products required. Minimum 3 years of experience working with key thought leaders or high influence customers in large group practices hospitals or managed care organizations preferred. Minimum 2 years of experience working in marketing managed care or sales support areas within the pharmaceutical industry preferred. Pharmaceutical Biotech & Medical Device selling experience preferred. Previous Field Sales Management experience preferred. Ability to build and develop customer relationships required.
