We are also a leading provider of reference and trade publishing for the medical, business, engineering and other professions.    McGraw-Hill Higher Education, (MHHE) is a leading provider of print and electronic materials serving the college market, publishing instructional materials including textbooks, lab manuals, study guides, testing materials, software, and multimedia products.   The Business & Economics division of McGraw-Hill Higher Education is looking for a Marketing Director in their Burr Ridge, Illinois location.   Responsibilities:    Partner with Editorial Director to: Analyze, evaluate markets, identify growth opportunities including technology, innovative products, alternate sales channelsa?|etc. Develop and assess portfolio based marketing plans that focus on maximizing growth in overall area. Plan and direct market development activities (symposia, focus groups, workshops) Conduct market research to verify market needs and guide signing, revision strategy. Develop and drive High Growth plans for selected key titles. Prepare and manage the assigned area budget.  Ensure that expenditures are aligned with current objectives.  Additional Responsibilities:   Drive relationship marketing initiative.  Direct marketing activities through marketing managers that build relationships at the top schools in the largest courses. Drive targeting process for each sales season.  Aggregate key targets into top target list by area.  Use the list to drive primary MM campus travel, workshops, convention strategy, and training strategy. Track and report on area performance metrics  Manage and drive cross-discipline or cross imprint products/programs. Advise management of significant variations in area performance and suggest corrective action. Evaluate, coach, and develop career pathing plans for employees. Perform all other duties as assigned.     Bachelor's Degree.  Graduate training in business preferred. Five-ten years successful record in publishing, editorial acquisition, product development, and sales. Familiarity and working knowledge of entire publishing process (financial analysis, acquisition, manufacturing and marketing). Previous management experience necessary in Higher Education publishing. Demonstrated excellence in interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to travel extensively (25%-50%).
