As a Product Specialist, you will be working with sales reps in various aspects of the sales process. You will be providing technical assistance and expertise to the companies that are looking to transition to Agile and/or are actively searching for the Agile Project management tool. The sales engineer is able to solve complex sales support problems and leverage previous experience to establish credibility with prospects. The individual must be able to quickly ascertain the business problem and sales opportunity. Responsibilities will include but not limited to: * Providing technical support and sales expertise to pre- and post-sales situations * Providing demonstrations of TargetProcess by presenting technical features and business benefits of the product * Working cooperatively with development group to resolve technically oriented problems and issues * Coordinating with Marketing and Sales to ensure that TargetProcess initiatives are timely and appropriate for current end user and/or market demand. * The ability to understand customer issues and map high level business issues to the technical solution and to provide a roadmap for the customer's success * Responding effectively to RFPs * Conveying customer requirements to Product Management and Professional Services teams * Identifying and communicating technical and business pre-sales issues to the Sales Representative * Making recommendations for the development of the product * Assisting customers with installation, configuration, and use of TargetProcess * Identifying and cultivating Professional Services and Software sales opportunities
Qualifications/Requirements * B.S. Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or equivalent work experience * 5+ years experience in a customer-facing technical role. * Expertise in Project management solutions with primary focus on agile methodologies. * Fundamental knowledge of Scrum, XP, Lean. Previous experience as a Scrum Master is highly preferable. * Experience with Windows platforms * Strong development background with SQL experience. * Solid oral, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills * Able to work on a wide range of problems with diverse scope & complexity * Occasional travel to customer, partner and clients' sites
