We are seeking two Architect SeniorAdvisors that can be located at any WellPoint location.


Develops application architecture specifications to build or support the development of IT applications and resolves IT architecture problems through the identification, assessment and resolution of changes and upgrades to be made. Primary duties may include but are not limited to:
ª
Works independently with the applicable business and IT areas, develops effective long range technology solutions for business goals and objectives
ª
Working with project teams, develops effective long range technology solutions for project goals and objectives
ª
Using our foundational artifacts (Guiding Principles, Reference Architectures, Standards, Guidelines, etc.) as a guide, determines the best application, system and/or component in which to implement a specific function required for the overall solution.
ª
Using the standards and policies established by the Technology Steering Board(TSB), recommends the proper technologies to be used in achieving the solution

Skills:
BA/BS degree in computer or information science discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience. Eight years experience in information technology including five years experience in architecture/design or an equivalent background. MA/MS degree preferred. Six years experience in health care industry preferred. ª Must have experience with WGS or mainframe systems. .ª Knowledge & understanding of HealthCare Systems and business is strongly preferredª Must have enterprise architecture background - one who understands conceptual, logical and reference architecture patterns and principlesª Proficient in working with the business and application teams to develop effective solutions to business problems.ª Strong and effective in interpersonal skills including leadership and mentoring.ª Ability to work in a team environment and to deliver on commitments in a timely fashion.ª Excellent organizational, oral and written communication skills.ª Ability to interact with all levels of the organization in a professional, diplomatic and tactful manner.ª Experience in the layout and architecture planning for integrating multiple platforms (mainframe, client server, software packages with custom applications) highly desirable.ª Experience in setting architectural standards as well as defining development standards/guidelines and SDLC processes is highly desirable.
