Job Responsibilities:

Audit defense consisting of generating historical reports, performing return analysis, tax research, and communicating with tax auditors.
Analyze and respond to sales tax audit information and document requests.
Apply knowledge of state and local tax filings and financial reporting policies and practices as they relate to the tax returns.
Conduct research in sales tax statutes and regulations and interpret results in order to defend DISH’s tax positions and respond to proposed audit adjustments.
Transactional sales tax analysis of Purchase Company billings to related companies.
Managing multiple projects simultaneously and report status in an efficient and effective manner.
Interact and collaborate effectively with other members of the Tax Department, operating divisions, corporate accounting, etc.

 
Education Requirements:
Four year Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field from accredited university.   Ideal candidate will also have 3+ years of experience in sales tax compliance and audits.   Ability to analyze large amounts of data is a must, along with excellent MS Excel and written and verbal communication skills.
