Responsible for leading and managing direction of information system and programming activities. Primary duties to include, but are not limited to: Oversees information systems functions for multiple sites and systems including quality assurance/quality control functions and project management. Oversees strategic planning, budget development and management for multiple cost centers, contract compliance and any necessary integration of government regulatory requirements. Management duties include hiring, training, coaching, counseling and evaluating performance of direct reports


Technical Job Description - The Capacity Planning and Monitoring, Director Technology will be responsible for delivering Capacity Planning, Event Management and Problem Management in all areas of the IT infrastructure. This person will be responsible for establishing and implementing standards, processes & procedures, required systems monitoring, and metrics. Experience in Service Management and ITIL methodologies and vendor management preferred. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Planning and executing capacity, event and problem management strategies, policies, programs, and initiatives.
- Development of a high performing team
- Ensure alignment and integration with all areas of IT Service Management (ex. Event, Incident, Problem, Configuration, and Change Mgt)
- Determining the most effective method to measure system capacity among various system types throughout the environment.
- Leading efforts to establish and continuously improve capacity, event and problem management practices.
- Compiling customer requirements for supported services throughout IT.
- Constructing and maintaining responsive and adaptable ITSM standards.
- Providing assessment and execution of existing tools and methodologies in the ITSM space for supported services (hardware, software, and network).
- Developing and recommending new tools to improve supported services and performance management.
- Helping to resolve system performance problems by analyzing collected data.
- Helping to prevent future issues by providing insight and root-cause analysis of capacity issues and strong root cause process

Skills:
Requires BS/BA in Computer Science or related field; 5-8 years of information systems and management experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. MBA preferred. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects required. Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills required.
