Primary Responsibilities:Were looking for a talented patent attorney experienced in patent portfolio generation and hands on IP litigation to join our dynamic Intellectual Property Practice Group. Youll be one of the primary legal contacts partnering with Intuits business units on patent related matters. Main duties will include assisting in the growth of a strong patent program - including development of patent strategy, developing and maintaining client relationships, soliciting invention disclosures for new and existing offerings, facilitating patent review meetings, supervising patent application preparation and prosecution, third party allegations, patent litigation strategy and support, as well as handling various patent & technology matters as they arise.

Additional responsibilities may include patent licensing matters and may further include IP support for mergers and acquisitions transactions. Qualifications:Must be a registered patent attorney with an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science. 6- 8 years of experience in prosecution, pre-litigation counseling, and IP litigation is desired along with a mix of law firm and in-house experience. Experience in M & A due diligence and licensing (particularly open source licensing) are a plus. Proven expertise in: good business judgment, confidence to influence decision making processes, communication, presentation skills, and ability to manage and counsel clients. Must be comfortable and adept at balancing risk and opportunity, and thinking creatively to enable the business to make smart decisions.
