Recognition/Rewards We seek to recognize, acknowledge and reward contributions to OCSD by our many talented employees. OCSD is currently looking to fill the role of a CMMS Technician II. Under general direction the CMMS Technician II will perform a variety of technical level duties related to the administration of the District’s Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Major duties will include the administration of IBM-Maximo; creation of asset records and preventive maintenance schedules; creation and updates to equipment information datasheets (EID); creation and maintenance of both scheduled and ad-hoc reports; data analysis to support internal projects and database management; procedure and standards development; and development and deployment of training and training materials related to CMMS to support both the Joint Operating and Capital Improvement budgets. In addition, the selected candidate will gather/research technical information and prepare reports/analysis related to Engineering construction projects or existing installations, control systems, process systems, piping systems, electrical systems, collections infrastructure, and facility infrastructure. The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or GED supplemented by college level or trade school course work in a skilled trade. This position requires a minimum of six years of experience including 2 years comparable to a CMMS Technician I with the District and four years of journey-level experience performing duties related to a skilled trade including maintaining, repairing, and installing equipment supplemented by experience with computer systems. Working knowledge, including administration experience with Maximo V5.x, V6.x, V7.x or other major CMMS application (MRO, DataStream, SAP, and Hansen) is required. Working knowledge of electrical and instrumentation principles and practices, principles of hydraulic and pneumatic control systems, preventive and predictive maintenance practices, and occupational hazards and standard safety practices is important. The ability to read and understand instrument control diagrams, electrical single line diagrams, and P&ID diagrams is necessary. Knowledge of MS Office, knowledge of MS Access or other RDBMS is desirable. Proficiency in MS Excel is required. The ability to perform mathematical calculations and apply the results to MS Excel spreadsheets or reports is required. The ability to communicate both verbally and in writing, and prepare training, procedural documents, and detailed reports is required. The selected candidate must be able to work within the treatment plant environment in order to research equipment/process information or apply physical tags to process equipment.
