Medical Surveillance, Occupational injury/illness care (which includes minor procedures: foreign body removal, suturing), physical examination and diagnosis, interpret data (labs and x-ray),: distinguish between normal and abnormal findings to determine appropriate plan, apply research finding to occupational health practices, develop care plans based on patient needs, provide emergency treatment and follow-up for worker injury and illness within protocols, provide and coordinate case management, contribute to development of policies and procedures, including clinical protocols. Maintain and safeguard confidentiality of employee health information and health records.  Conduct cost benefit and cost effectiveness analyses.  Teach and educate nursing staff.  Supervise other Occupational health professional staff.  The Medical Director, who will be a Board Certified Occupational and Preventive Health Specialist, will be available at all times for questions, issues, etc. Needs to be licensed, nurse practitioner or physician assistant with a masters in nursing or graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program, respectively, along with a Masters Degree.  Needs 3-5 years of clinical/industrial experience with some supervisory experience.  Strong interpersonal and communication skills including presentation and writing.  Good organizational, analytical and computer skills.  Clinical expertise in occupational medicine is preferred and a license to practice in IL is a must.  Will work in a clinical setting, potential Blood Borne Pathogen exposure.  The position is full time, M-F.
