Our digital products and services will continue to build on that success.   Higher Education is looking for a Production Supervisor in their Dubuque, IA location.   The Production Supervisor works with the book team, GPMS inventory management, sales, and vendors, to produce a high quality, cost effective product on schedule.   Responsibilities:   Schedule and print buying for main text and supplements Research packaging options and costs for editorial and marketing Responsible for manufacturing all first impression main text and accompanying supplements (print and non-book and digital media). Requirements   A?        Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience. A?        2+ years experience in book production and/or manufacturing A?        Thorough knowledge of book budgeting A?        Thorough knowledge of prepress and composition. A?        Thorough knowledge of 1, 2, and 4-color print production. A?        Understanding of ancillary production and manufacturing, including disk and CD duplication. A?        Ability to set priorities; to plan, organize and control work flow; and to analyze situations and make decisions A?        Proficient in personal computer for word processing and database maintenance. A?        Well organized and attentive to detail A?        Demonstrate an understanding of and ability to strategize various intellectual content delivery methods, from print to digital, in order to optimally meet the market needs of all types of products. A?        Demonstrated ability to anticipate potential problems and devise processes to avoid obstacles. A?        Self-starter and ability to be self-managed
