Our digital products and services will continue to build on that success.   Higher Education is looking for a Project Manager - Specialized Production in their Dubuque, IA  office.    Responsibilities:   Provide high quality, accurate, timely, and cost effective project management from manuscript through bound books to ensure market focused production and sustained revenue growth. Work independently with minimal supervision, focus will be primarily on Specialized and Full Service Titles. Manage outside full service vendor as necessary Develop a production plan and determine all production needs, including copyediting requirements. Establish production schedules with the assistance of all book team members. Responsible for management of approximately 12 to 15 projects per copyright year Monitor all costs throughout the production process Other duties as assigned  Requirements: Bachelor's Degree 1 -2+ years as Project Manager or equivalent, preferably with college textbook publishing experience. Strong team player with a strong background in collaborating successfully with internal and external partners to bring about successful execution of goals. Proven ability to make effective decisions on projects in a consistent and independent fashion; to use good judgment in determining which decisions require immediate attention and which ones need team input and further consideration. Strong problem solving and decision making skills with the ability to analyze solutions quickly. Proven ability to manage multiple and competing priorities and tight deadlines while ensuring consistent progress on projects. Strong understanding of the production process, book design, composition, page makeup, and printing. Proven ability to work independently and as a team leader with minimal supervision. Strong organization and attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as demonstrated effective negotiation skills. Thorough knowledge of copyediting and proofreading. Proficiency in Microsoft Office required. Proficiency in other software programs, including design software, is helpful.
