Click Here to Apply OnlineThe Health Solutions Group is hiring a Director, Communications to lead marketing and communications efforts on the recently introduced Microsoft Health Solutions Group products. This director-level communications position is responsible for driving integrated PR and strategic marketing communications campaigns for Microsoft® HealthVault™ and the Microsoft Amalga family of enterprise healthcare systems. This position is responsible for partnering with key stakeholders to catalyze, create, and deliver the content and coverage necessary to support Microsoft's global communications strategy, and drive coordination across key corporate, business and subsidiary stakeholders.
Responsibilities include:
* Develop and drive the PR strategy and success metrics
* Manage the agencies that work with us on our business
* Partnering with business groups including Public Sector, Unlimited Potential, Windows, Office, MSN, and LCA, (utilizing both internal and agency resources) to drive integrated communications campaigns resulting in proactive, positive media coverage
* Providing strategic communications counsel and advice to internal business teams
* Developing messaging & positioning; staying abreast of competitive issues and contributing to the management of those issues in the media
* Helping manage proactive and reactive PR issues
* Assessing the effectiveness of PR programs and activities; and identifying best practices.
This position requires frequent contact with all levels of Microsoft employees in addition to the media and industry influential's.
Qualifications:
* The ideal candidate will have 10 years of PR experience, team management skills degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications or related field and approx.
* At least 5 years of Healthcare experience in managing strategic, corporate or policy campaigns
* Knowledge of information technology is a must.
* The ideal candidate will also have demonstrated success as an organizational leader, an aptitude for strategic planning and experience in driving successful PR campaigns.
* This position requires an ability to work under tight deadlines and to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* It also requires excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
