Senior Program Manager - Transition to Production

ATK has created new position for a Senior Program Manager to meet our growing business.
As a Senior Program Manager you will drive the transition of multiple critical Commercial Aircraft Programs from the various stages of development and move these programs into a successful full-rate production.
Job Responsibilities:
Manage the transformation for the high-rate production program from Clearfield to Iuka and assume activities that will focus on optimising factory layout for high rate production and maximum efficiency.
Support overall prime contract execution on behalf of the ASD division.
Collaboration with ATKs development team in Clearfield UT to ensure DFA (Design for Assembly), DFM (Design for Manufacturability), testability and robust transition to production; establishment of initial production capability at our Manufacturing Center of Excellence beginning with conceptualization of physical plant space and layout, workstations, material and labor requirements.
Extensive communication, planning and leadership within all segments of the onsite operation including Supply Chain, Material Program Management, Manufacturing Process, Quality and Mission Assurance, Factory Operations, Finance, and Test.
Encompass collaboration in design, establishment of production capability and ramp-up through low rate production into full-rate production.
Defining the commercial aircraft composites business lane.
Travel to Clearfield UT will be extensive in the first 12 months and about 10-20% thereafter.
Lead and direct a cross-functional team to meet or exceed program technical, quality, schedule and cost objectives.
Prepare, monitor and manage the program budget including EAC (Estimate at Complete), sales and profit forecasts and work authorizations and funds releases once the program has transitioned to full-rate production.
Lead preparation of proposals in support of new or follow-on business and scope changes, as required.
Requirements:
10 to15 years experience in aerospace, defense or related manufacturing industry with progressive Program Management and/or Operations Management
Experience planning high rate production program, define capacity requirements and transition initial production
Demonstrated track record of project and personnel leadership and planning and prioritization of tasks
Proven track record of leading a program concept to full-rate production.
Experience managing Program budget, operational and financial challenges
Ability to work effectively and build relationships with both internal and external customers
Understanding of high-technology, high-volume manufacturing (composite and/or aircraft components)
Ability to obtain Secret Clearance which requires U.S. Citizenship as a pre-requisite
Willingness and ability to travel around 20%
