The WW Services Sales Office is looking for a Senior Director Program Manager Sales Strategy and Planning to lead key projects in the design and implementation of the standard WW Services sales approaches that drive CPE, growth, and productivity. The scope of this role will be broad across multiple aspects of the Services Sales Model, playing a key program management function to drive results from the various work streams that are focused on improving sales productivity, interactions with Services stakeholders, and successful landing of Services sales programs and joint EPG/Services programs in the field are key areas of responsibility. The individual in this role must think broadly about the direction WW Services will take to evolve its holistic sales model approach, given changes in customer needs, competitive pressures, and market trends such as Software Services. In addition the person in this role must be very disciplined and have demonstrated success in building and driving corporate programs - disciplined execution and structured team building are core skill attributes. This role interfaces across the multiple teams in Services and EPG.
The critical responsibilities for this position include:
1) Assume Program leadership of our current effort to define an integrated 3-year roadmap for how WW Services will evolve its Sales Model across segmentation, roles, resource models, business process, and compensation. Utilizing experiences gained through field sales tenure, this individual must leverage best practices from Microsoft internal field organizations as well as external benchmarks, Work seamlessly across other Services Sales teams and HQ functions to integrate learning's and perspectives. Collaborate with other WW Services Teams (e.g., Service Lines & Marketing, CTO, Global Delivery & Operations), WW EPG, BGs and Segments to understand their sales model requirements.
2) Bring structure and lead teams currently engaged in the WW Services external sales model benchmarking effort, including our charter relationship with McKinsey to drive the Enterprise Services 3.0 model to the field.. Produce a structured project plan and produce regular project reports to WW Services, and stakeholder leadership summarizing key findings and implications for future sales model development.
3) Drive the WW Services sales analytics strategy to ensure WW Sales continues to provide deep business insight to our WW Services and Field leaders on how to implement a world-class sales model to fuel growth, productivity, and increased customer and partner satisfaction. Provide regular internal benchmarking reports to WW Services and Field leaders to drive deeper understanding of opportunities for continuous improvement.
4) Lead and manage special strategy projects as defined throughout the year.
Candidate should have a degree in business and extensive experience operating in complex business environment and be able to demonstrate skills in the following critical areas:
Strong understanding of the Services business;
Deep understanding of Microsoft's current sales and delivery model;
Passion for problem solving and analysis;
Quantitative analytical skill and yet able to effectively synthesize data into meaningful business solutions;
Strong executive communication and presence.
The position is based in Redmond due to the required cross-functional interaction with corporate teams.
