A Global Chemical Company is seeking a Project Manager to join its Construction Team.
This person will manager an array of projects ranging from standardized portfolio products to a custom design per client specifications. Responsible for overall project cost, scheduling and deliverables of projects and services in an assigned area, from design to start-up:
* Maintains a thorough knowledge of new developments and technology.
* Monitors all projects phases and recommends changes to improve operating efficiency.
* Identifies and mitigates risks associated with projects.
* Manages contractors for field installation and acts as an internal liaison with operations, procurement, safety and business groups.
* Liaison with customers, operations, procurement, safety and business groups.
* Ensures that all organization and execution work processes are followed.
* Interfaces with external customers, governmental permitting and inspection agencies, business, environmental regulatory groups as required.
* Responsible for managing safety and quality programs related to projects including quality assurance planning and code regulation compliance.
* Projects are designed and executed in North America and internationally.
* Travel is required and can be up to 25%.

Qualifications
* Must have a BS in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Civil or Industrial).
* Must have proven experience in an Industrial Manufacturing Setting (Chemical, Petrochemical, Refining, or Pharmaceutical preferred).
* Requires a minimum of 8 years experience in engineering, project management and/or construction.
* Requires proficiency in project development, scope planning and definition, project plan execution, and change control processes as well as experience with effective schedule and cost control and resource planning.
* Must have experience working with a Single Project Scope of at least $50 Million.
* Must have an intimate understanding of design and construction safety.
* PMI certification is strongly preferred.
