As a member of Business Development Creative Team, the primary responsibilities for the position are to design and lay-out proposals, as well as customized graphics, charts/tables, and templates using a variety of graphics software packages. In addition to proposals, other sales/marketing support materials such as presentations and custom brochures will be designed and formatted for delivery to production.

Incumbent will also:
* Ensure effectiveness of designs in communicating value proposition and brand.
* Be part of the creative team that supports Business Development Creative Team, which includes major national accounts and smaller local groups.
* Team with proposal writers and sales professionals to develop the best design strategies for general communication efforts, as well as for specific prospective customer initiatives.
* Ensure quality control of projects from pre-press through delivery.
* Assist in enforcing branding and visual identity guidelines throughout the company.
* Maintain an awareness of current trends in advertising, business communications, and technical developments.

Skills:
Please submit portfolio sample along with resume.* 2 years related experience in a graphic design environment (PC and Mac-based)* Four-year degree in commercial art/design or comparable work experience required* Prior experience with creating documents in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator* Capability with Quark and FlightCheck is a plus* Experience with Web technology a plus* Demonstrated results in translating concepts into effective visual communications* Ability to work collaboratively with proposal writers and sales force* Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and independently to meet deadlines* Strong attention to detail and quality control* Willingness to pitch-in and go the extra mile to ensure a project's success, including working extra hours* A portfolio demonstrating above capabilities required at time of interview WellPoint is ranked as one of America's Most Admired Companies among health insurers by Fortune magazine and is a 2008 DiversityInc magazine Top 50 Company for Diversity
