Leadership position that that will be accountable for the IAS middle tier operations support and system delivery functions and processes. Provides project/initiative direction, manages vendors and leads team of personnel specializing in infrastructure delivery and support. Position develops technical and connectivity strategies to support the goals and objectives of the organization. Position collaborates with management to define and communicate short- and long-term strategies and goals while providing the management necessary to achieve the goals of the business and organization. Position achieves desired results through the use of technical and subject matter expertise, innovation, experience and judgment, and efficient decision making. This position reports to top management; a wide degree of flexibility and latitude is expected.

1. Will be accountable for delivery of middle tier centric technology projects which supports the WLP enterprise.
2. This position requires expertise in multiple hardware platform design and implementation of business systems and applications, as well as specific skills in network, database, connectivity,performance, scalability in a very large enterprise middle tier organization serving many internal and external customers.
3. Will be responsible for supporting current and future middle tier and frameworks environments.
4. Work with PM's, BA's, Solution Engineers, Architects, Infrastructure Engineers and QA leads to create/craft/enhance current and new hardware/software platforms to support business objectives.

Skills:
1. Over 8 years in the Technology industry, 3 years in leading teams of various sizes.2. Working in cross-functional teams, including non-technical members. Collaborating with infrastructure engineers and architects and other groups within the organization3. Making acquisition decisions, including working with vendors to evaluate software and services4. Executing within framework of change and configuration management policies. Release planning and management5. Hardware/software maintenance and support planning and management. Assisting teams to deliver enterprise-level projects throughout the software delivery lifecycle6. IAS Technologies- IBM Message Broker, WTX, DataPower, Websphere, Weblogic, MQ, Oracle, DB2, Frameworks, RPC management.7. BA/BS degree in related field or equivalent work experience. Position impacts all Wellpoint membership directly or indirectly.
