Job Information: We are in search of one or two Electonics Installers to handle the installation and upgrades of all Navigation and A/V systems on board all models of their yachts.
This position is responsible for the following:
· Pull, terminate and connect cabling for Audio/Video and navigation system electronics
· Assist with bench test and set-up of system components
· Support Design in product changes, addendums and other needs pertaining marine electronic systems.
· Support Customer Service team. Travel may be required.
· Assist in orientation of Owners, Captains and Crews on the use of installed equipment.
· Assist in maintenance of accurate plan set for completed projects through 'as built' drawings and installed component technical specifications.
· Will travel to all three of the company's facilities to complete installation and start-up tasks as necessary to meet production schedule.
Qualifications:
· Must have at least 5 years experience in Navigation electronics operation, installation, maintenance and trouble shooting
· Must be able to organize, prioritize and perform multiple tasks in an efficient manner, supporting production and departmental needs.
· This position requires frequent sitting, twisting and standing with walking, climbing, bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, and reaching above shoulder level, with repetitive use of the hands for simple grasping and fine manipulation.
· Excellent written and oral communication skills are required.
· Must communicate, answer questions and/or provide information to co-workers as needed.
· Be computer literate and have a working knowledge in database management, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Internet Explorer and Microsoft Outlook. AutoCad skills recommended
Education Required:
· Requires competent levels of mathematical, reading, writing and communication skills necessary to successfully accomplish the job description, skills and ability requirements as outlined above.
· Formal training/certification in Navigation systems (NMEA) desirable.
· Vocational or formal training in electrical/electronics installation recommended.
Miscellaneous Requirements:
· Must maintain an excellent attendance record following all company policies and procedures in the Employee Handbook and safety rules.
· Will be expected to work flexible hours as needed to meet departmental needs.
