Does "insightful", "curious", "probe", "investigate", "solve" sound like familiar characteristics?  Are you able to pull key ideas from a problem distinguishing relevant from irrelevant information?  Does troubleshooting and interpretation of data inspire you to get up in the morning?  Can you visualize collaborating with development, QA and production operation teams to assist with identifying a solution and a plan of attack?  Then we are looking for you!!   We have an exciting opportunity for a PRODUCTION SUPPORT ENGINEER.  You are responsible for supporting the operations of critical web based customer facing applications.  The web based application is a 4-tiered architecture, using Tomcat application servers and XML transport with SOAP protocol.     Here's what you will get to do: The main focus - Production Issues Troubleshooting! Liaison between customer, customer service/program management and technical team to diagnose and solve the problem Daily support of backend processes Participation in risk management processes Scripting/collection of data and preparation of reports Release management Development/testing of defect fixes and system enhancements Periodic on-call support Software development - research, re-engineer, maintenance Here is what YOU will need to be successful: Bachelor's degree AND 5+ years in development/ SW development support role  OR 7+ years in development/ SW development support role Extensive knowledge and active experience in one or more of the following technologies: Java, XML, XSLT, Java Servlets, JSP, Oracle PL/SQL 2+ years experience in the following:  Developing Java applications, writing/debugging Oracle stored procedures (PL/SQL), XML, Mercury Test Director (or similar product) Debugging complex object models, design patterns, multi-tier applications Understanding of Web Services - SOAP, SOA, AJAX, HTML Knowledge of XSLT a plus!
