A prestigious manufacturing company located in the Fort Wayne, Indiana area, is looking to hire an Operations Leader. This position would report to the President.

* Leads and supervises a team of Operation 6 Supervisors, 60-70 production andmaintenance workers
* Responsible forthe overall direction, coordination, safety, environmental, quality andevaluation of the operation
* Position willcarry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with theorganizations policies, procedures, and union contract
* Responsible forinterviewing and training both exempt and non-exempt employees
* Fullaccountability for setting and meeting operational goals; strategicplanning and forecasting, including staffing forecast; assigning anddirecting work; appraising performance; rewarding and discipliningemployees including termination and resolving problems
* Ensures safeoperations by meeting safety targets, maintaining a strong safety culture,designing safety improvement projects, and ensuring safety activities ofthe production area are being met
* Ensures allenvironmental regulations, rules and permits are communicated and enforced

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
* BS or MBA intechnical background
* 5-10 YearsManagement experience in a production/manufacturing environment
* Commitment toemployee development, dedication, motivation and intelligence
* Strongcommunication and technical skills
* Ability tomulti-task and prioritize
* Highly developedanalytical skills
* Articulate;well thought out communicator
* Must beflexible to work and shift 7 days/ 24 hours including Holidays
