(TSI), an established leader in the global satellite communications market, is seeking an experienced, talented, sophisticated, innovative and confident Business Development Executive to join a dynamic, growing team. Among its many technological achievements, TSI is a pioneer in the development of the international Search and Rescue Satellite Aided Tracking (SARSAT) system which has resulted in the rescue of over 20,000 people worldwide over the past 25 years. With a demonstrated history of bringing innovative
products to market, TSI has recently completed the development of a suite of next generation “best in class” SARSAT products that represents a quantum leap in capability and performance over the offerings in the current market space. To exploit this substantial technology lead, TSI is looking for a passionate, motivated, highly energetic and experienced person to lead the business development activity for its SARSAT and other technology product areas.
Responsibilities: * Develops new business opportunities in SARSAT and other related product markets. Develops and implements unique and aggressive plans and strategies for expanding business opportunities with existing and new customers.
* Develops and maintains excellent relationship with customer and customer's management structure. Understands customer's needs and point of view and is able to generate discussion on future opportunities and create new possibilities.
* Travels globally sometimes on short notice. Up to 50% travel worldwide. * Coordinates internal proposal and quotation activity.
* Prepares and delivers strategic sales presentations including basic technical details. Represents and promotes the company at meetings, conferences, trade shows and partnering forums as required.
Requirements: * BS or MS in a related field (Marketing or Business Administration preferred) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
* 10 years of successful direct US and International Government sales experience.
* Expert in both written and oral communications, presentation skills, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Extensive experience with Microsoft Office publishing tools.
* Customer focused, quality-minded, and profit driven with ability to multi-task and work effectively in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
* Ability to communicate effectively in regards on technical issues. Must demonstrate prior sales requiring technical expertise. Technical expertise in SATCOM a big plus.
* International business experience and an admiration of foreign cultures. Multi-lingual skills a big plus.
