Niacet Corporation seeks an experienced candidate for process engineering to lead the design and construction of new facilities. The position offers a leadership role in business development. Responsibilities include technical definition and evaluation of process alternatives that support new business growth and improve existing chemical operations. A Masters of Science in Chemical Engineering is desired with 15 or more years experience in synthetic organic chemical processes. Qualified candidates should have demonstrated capabilities in the process design of hydrogenations, oxidations, esterifications, and aldehyde condensations. Familiarity with batch and semi-continuous processes a plus. Must be able to apply basic chemical engineering fundamentals to solve problems and design new processes. Mass and energy balances, heat transfer, hydraulic caluclations, equipment siting, MOC selection, mass transfer, phase change, etc. It is highly desirable to have good project engineering skills to manage assigned capital projects. This would include scope, schedule and budget development and control.
