Role Definition
We are looking for a uniquely talented product management guru with a proven track record of increasing responsibility to join our team and lead inbound product management for our leading Parallels Plesk Panel product line. The Parallels Plesk Panel family of products is one of the most successful hosting automation solutions for SMBs in the market today. The objective of this role is to make the product even better for our hosting partners and for the SMB end-user. This exciting role offers significant room for future growth and reports to the Vice President of Service Provider Marketing. He/she will also work closely with the President of the business unit and have frequent interaction with our Chairman/CEO, who places very high value on the marketing function and in the Parallel Plesk Panel product.This responsibility for this senior individual contributor position is to lead our product strategy with the objective to increase market share and customer satisfaction. Key responsibilities include market definition, requirements analysis, competitive analysis, product planning, pricing and packaging definitions, and driving a highly competitive R&D development team
* Definition of the near- and long- term product roadmap for the Parallels Plesk Panel family of products. Work with end-user customers and hosting partners to define SKUs, product requirements, key features. Own the product requirement and definition documents.
* Perform competitive product analysis, market and customer segmentation and customer needs analysis. Prepare and maintain competitive analyses of competing products for use by sales and marketing teams
* Implement best practices in product management lifecycle process. Act as customer and market thought leader, working with our international product development organization to define development priorities, ship criteria, schedules.
* Create and maintains relationships with key reference customers. Own the beta/early adopter program via methodical engagement with customers and partners with prioritized feedback system to the R&D team.
* Work with outbound product marketers to appropriately communicate our product roadmap to our key partners and properly position the products during the launch process. Provide input to the production of thought leadership materials, such as white papers, feature articles, webinars, and industry presentations
Required Skills and Talents
* Four-year college degree from a highly selective school (computer science or engineering major preferred but not required)
* Graduate degree from a highly selective school (MBA) or equivalent work experience
* Minimum 6 years of progressive experience in product management or equivalent work experience at a successful software company with specific knowledge of the IT Operations, hosting/service provider, ecommerce, or web application management market
* Proven strength and excellence in managing multiple products from inception to product release and launch. Track record demonstrating strong leadership and execution on product plans
* High levels of understanding and respect for other company functions and ability to work well with them as a team (especially with product development)
