If so, we want you to join our team to work on an amazing next-generation project, built from the ground up, in Microsoft Game Studios. We are building a NEW GAME STUDIO from the ground up that will revolutionize both WHAT you play and HOW you play. You have the chance to get in on the ground floor and work with professionals responsible for some of the industry's greatest innovations to date. We need an Associate Producer to work will work closely with the Production team in project management and production components and in partner with the development team, test team and third parties to ensure the timely, high-quality delivery of the project. Responsibilities: On a day-to-day basis, as an Associate Producer you are responsible for a large variety of tasks related to game development with a focus in production, project management and communication. Work with the Production team to help define and track project deliverables and align priorities based on the game vision. Assist in ongoing evaluation of project status as well as manage the preparation of project-related documentation, whitepapers, and reports. Coordinate, track and manage tasks with external vendors, partners and other cross-groups in order to ensure project tasks are completed on time. Manage the communication and expectations appropriate to the audience within the studio both via email and in collaborative environments like SharePoint. Liaise between the studio and other internal teams like publishing, localization, marketing, PR, and business development in order to help provide organization, communication and accountability on both tasks and projects. Handle and any other duties as specified by the Production team. Qualifications and Skills: ? Passion for and knowledge of games and entertainment and a desire to learn production skills involved specifically in videogame development. ? Strong cross-team communication skills are key with the ability to talk to creatives (e.g. artists and game designers), technical people (e.g. programmers), and non-technical people (e.g. PR and Marketing) alike. When conflicts occur, the job requires this position to bring people together, with careful listening, mitigation, and resolution skills. ? Exceptional oral and written communication skills that are targeted to both technical and non-technical personnel in a clear, concise and concrete manner. ? Good project management skills that provide direction to help address tasks, goals, milestones and projects to completion. ? Detailed organization skills in order to manage multiple processes and action items resulting from meetings and/or directions from the production team. ? Self-motivation and an enthusiastic, positive, and team oriented attitude. ? Experience is required to deal with ambiguous situations and conditions, and an ongoing need to identify, assess, and solve problems quickly and frequently. ? A Bachelor's degree or equivalent work related to production or program management in the software or videogame industry.
