Would you like to make the photo and camera experience on your phone as good as your digital camera? Would you like to help define the next generation of Entertainment technologies for Mobile Devices? If so, the Audio/Video Pipeline team in the Mobile Entertainment Test group is looking for you to join us as an SDET. We are a highly technical team that digs deep and tackles the hard issues in the media playback and capture pipelines. You will work on features like the DirectShow based media pipeline, audio and video codecs, DRM technologies, and device drivers for media peripherals such as cameras. We are looking for an engineer to advocate quality for our customers review functional specifications help architect our test strategies create, review and execute on high quality test plans, build smart automation infrastructure invent new verification techniques, and develop new verification tools to enhance our productivity and efficiency You will own driving your team to meet our code coverage goals, performance metrics, and release criteria. You will be working closely with Development and the Program Management counterparts to achieve business goals, planning deliverables, meeting project milestones, and changing our development process. The Windows Mobile team is one of the teams in the fastest growing divisions in Microsoft, and is applying light-weight best engineering practices to deliver excellent products to market. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of shipping high quality software and a strong desire to join and influence a sustainable, high performance test culture. The candidate must possess solid oral and written communication skills and have strong demonstrable C, C++, or Win32 coding and debugging skills. A BS or MS degree in CS or the equivalent is required. Experience with Windows CE, Windows Mobile and/or DirectShow, Codecs or other multimedia technologies is a plus.
