We have an immediate opening for a Business Intelligence Account Executive who will focus on sales to local government organizations. Your responsibilities will consist of executing on strategies and best practices that will create new business revenue for a platform approach of Business Intelligence products by targeting Local Governments. The responsibilities will also include selling a portfolio of Business Intelligence Products (Data Integration, Data Cleansing, Data Warehousing, Reporting and Advanced Analytics); developing and selling business solutions that meet customers' needs; executing proven sales/marketing tactics and programs in order to meet or exceed assigned territory objectives; identifying, qualifying and disqualifying prospective Local Government accounts to build the appropriate funnel portfolio in order to meet or exceed assigned territory objectives; developing and executing a territory marketing plan including a territory management plan; managing customer and prospect accounts to achieve expedient purchase decisions and to assist customers with problem resolutions; identifying and calling on all levels of an organization from a ground-level technician to senior agency heads/legislators/ C level executives; demonstrating your ability to utilize your contacts to leverage access to a client, prospect or partner in order to gain access and to move opportunities forward; and performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Essential
* Bachelor's degree in abusiness or quantitative field of study with:
* 2 years ofexperience in software sales
* Experienceselling software solutions to the Local Government space
* Ability to travel50% of the time as business needs require
Additional
* Current contacts withinthe Local Government space where you have become a trusted advisor tothe client regardless of the logo on your business card
* Knowledge of hardware and/orsoftware acquisition cycles and buying influences
* Advanced knowledge of industrysoftware and hardware terminology and concepts
* Excellent written and verbalcommunication skills, strategic selling skills, skills in analyzing andevaluating territory dynamics to develop and implement a sales plan
* Ability to initiate and leadprojects
* Ability to work effectivelyin a team environment
* Ability to relate technicaland business concepts to system applications and userneeds
Preferences
* Minimum of two yearsof local government software sales experience
* Minimum of two years ofexperience in consulting sales of an integrator business solution relevantto the Local Government space
* Demonstrated understandingof Local Government procurement procedures and sales cycles
* Demonstrated successdeveloping new territories
* Experience selling businessintelligence software
* History of achieving salestargets (quotas)
