We are currently looking for a qualified Senior Product Manager to join our team at our office in Redwood City, CA
This position is responsible for cradle to grave life cycle of the product line and multiple solution areas, including the profit and loss statement (P&L). This position identifies compelling market opportunities, and creates a product strategy to exploit the opportunity. In addition, this position manages the product through the entire product life cycle including: new product ideation, business case development and funding, product development, market launch, market acceptance, high growth, maturity, decline and end-of-life.
This position is also responsible for planning, executing and managing all product beta customer programs.
The Senior Product Manager performs the following activities in each area for multiple segments of a product as defined in the product hierarchy:
Strategy and Planning
• Build, update and communicate the product line vision, strategy and 3-year road map for core stakeholders and for external consumption
•Manage P&L for product – creates annual plan for product and tracks performance against plan
•Drive the positioning and interaction of the product within the product portfolio and its integration with other products
Product Development
•Function as the primary SME (subject matter expert) on the product and its target market
•Understand competitive landscape from strategy to functional capabilities
• Identify customer and prospect problems that represent significant market opportunities and that are addressable by CA (and potential partners) (MRD)
•Write product requirement documents that define the features and capabilities required to address market opportunity (PRD)
•Develop and write the Integrated Business Plan (IBP) for funding approval
•Provide input to product marketing for the messaging platform document
•Lead the Core Cross-functional Team from Concept to Market Acceptance

Key Requirements:
•Typically 5 or more years in an industry related role
• Will typically have worked in technical support, system administration or product development type roles with exposure to marketing
• Must have 3 years experience planning and executing product betas for enterprise applications Must also have experience in designing enterprise applications
• Domain knowledge/expertise in the area of Information Technology (IT) and or project and portfolio management (PPM) enterprise software applications and market space is desirable Excellent verbal and written communication skills
