May work from any HMC office. Responsible for enterprise wide web based learning technology projects that have direct positive business impact on the Operations organization. Primary duties may include, but not limited to: Performs instructional analysis, designs, develops, codes, troubleshoots, debugs, implements, configuration management, and maintains software code and web sites. Consults with Operations personnel by providing significant technical direction on major development projects. Conceives and proposes new ideas and products to support business needs, and guides the implementation of these ideas and products within an application. Collaborates with web content owners, graphic designers, and other members of a project team on requirements, design, development and implementations of projects. Responsible for interface implementation and system communication. Develops sub-project plans, functional specifications, and schedules. Stays abreast of new web technologies and techniques with knowledge of Internet / Web tools, protocols and programming languages.


Skills:
Requires a BS/MS in Computer Science, Instructional Technology or a related field, 5 plus years of web design/development, and 5 plus years supporting a training/learning organization; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Certified Instructional Technologist (CIT) or MS certifications preferred. Ability to travel maybe required. Experience with learning management systems and authoring tools are preferred.
