This is the experienced level of work in the field of clinical pharmacy. Employees in this classification are responsible for providing clinical pharmaceutical services for a patient population involving the establishment and maintenance of policies concerning drug use patterns related to drug use or adverse drug reactions; establishing and maintaining patient drug profile systems; reviewing physician’s orders before drugs are administered to patients; and evaluating clinical data concerning the admission of drugs to the formulary. Clinical Pharmacists may supervise subordinate personnel involved in clinical pharmacy procedures and operations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION:

Graduation from an accredited School of Pharmacy with a Doctorate in Pharmacy (PharmD).

EXPERIENCE:

One year of clinical experience as a Registered Pharmacist.

LICENSE:

Must possess a valid license for state where services are rendered
