McGraw-Hill Professional has an outstanding opportunity for an Account Manager - International , based in our New York office. The purpose of the Account Manager is to develop the sales of McGraw-Hill Professional online products at colleges, universities, medical schools, hospitals, public libraries, corporations and government institutions in the assigned territory. Responsibilities will also include international travel and ongoing Webex demonstrations. Essential Accountabilities: Initiative: open new markets and sign new reseller agreements. Also needs the ability to cold call and establish relationships with a diverse group of decision makers: academic and medical librarians, corporate librarians, engineering associations and IT staff. Relationship Management: manage third party relationships to maximize sales growth throughout the world while improving the company's financial return; Partner with McGraw-Hill International subsidiaries (UK, Canada, Australia and Asia) to understand markets and focus on developing and marketing product with the greatest global revenue opportunity. Liaison: partner with international subsidiaries to drive sales, train and support overall sales initiatives. Perseverance: this sales position will feature an elongated selling cycle and needs someone who is patient and persistent in the sales approach. Closing skills: this consummate sales skill will be paramount given the various decision makers involved in the selling process. Ingenuity: clever solutions will be needed to close sales and the Account Manager must be conversant with the students; and professionals; research needs as he/she develops the sales plan to meet the customer's needs. Technical Acumen: must be able to effectively communicate unique selling features and product functionality to ensure proper staff and end user (customer) product usage. Candidates should have 3+ years international sales experience in the online arena (medical, science and engineering a plus) with specialized skill in launching new product. Candidates should have a proven track record of sales success and have a demonstrable portfolio of selling digital products. Candidate must also have experience in training staff and users.
