ATK has created new Chief Engineer positions in our Commercial Aircraft group to meet our growing business. ATK Iuka, MS is working with NASA, Military and large commercial companies on exciting composite structures.
Job Responsibilities:
As the Chief Engineer assigned to a commercial aircraft program or programs, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership for all engineering aspects of the program including design engineering, stress analysis, tooling design, manufacturing engineering, materials and processes and quality assurance.The Chief Engineer will be involved in every phase of the program from business development through full rate production.
The Chief Engineer position includes the following responsibilities:
Leading a Multidisciplinary Engineering Team to execute complex aircraft structure design and manufacturing programs.
Preparing and Delivering Technical Presentations to customers and potential customers as well as internal audiences.
Completing Technical Volumes and Engineering Estimates for Proposal Responses
Planning, Scheduling, Staffing and Managing Complex Engineering Programs
Evaluating and Selecting Advanced Technologies to Apply to Production and Development Programs
Managing and Integrating IR&D programs to commercial production applications.
Developing relationships with customer engineering organizations to help win future work
Requirements:
BS or higher in Material Science or Engineering with 7 years of experience in fabrication/testing.
A BSME or BSAE Degree with 18 years experience in the aircraft or related industry working in one or more of the following engineering disciplines.
16 years with MSME or MSAE: Design Engineering, Stress Analysis, Manufacturing Engineering, Tooling Design, Materials and Process Engineering
